I stumbled this site and found it to be very interesting… Social Networking / Self promo for artist and designers.

Cargo evolved out of the system that runs the http://spacecollective.org community. We found it remarkably successful and efficient in creating visual content on the web, placing a strong emphasis on design, layout, image quality and typography.

Because this is a hosted service (supporting custom URLs), it eliminates the need for building & hosting a website and install software. Individual pages can be connected to the larger Cargo network where context will create culture.

Our goal is to dramatically increase the accessibility and exposure of creative individuals on the Internet, while aspiring to build a networked context that will contribute to the culture as a whole.
